Overview
What home care visits include
Home care visits (sometimes called domiciliary care) are planned visits at the times that suit you — from a short morning call to several visits through the day. Carers can help with getting up and ready for the day, washing, dressing and personal care, preparing meals and drinks, medication prompts in line with your care plan, light housework, and simply some company. Visits are built around an agreed care plan, and we review it with you as needs change, so care can increase, reduce or pause without starting again from scratch.
Who this is for
Who this tends to suit
- Older people who want to stay independent at home but need a hand with daily routines
- Adults of any age living with a physical disability or long-term condition
- People recovering after an illness, fall or operation who need support for a while
- Families who want reliable, regular help alongside the care they already give
How quickly we can help
How we arrange regular visits
It starts with a conversation about what a normal day looks like and where help would make the biggest difference. We then arrange a free assessment at home, agree a written care plan and visit times with you, and introduce the carers who will visit. We try hard to keep the same small team visiting so you see familiar faces, and we keep in touch to adjust visit times or support as things change.
